Pool Equipment Repair in Houston
Why your pool pump will not prime
Nine times out of ten it is air getting in on the suction side, not a dead pump. A dry pump lid o-ring, a loose union, a cracked valve or a low water level will all stop a healthy pump from priming.
Replacing the pump without finding the leak wastes the money, and the new pump does the same thing.
In a Houston summer, equipment failure turns water green fast
Our swim season runs most of the year and our pumps run hard through it. When circulation stops in August, water quality goes in days, not weeks.
That is why we diagnose quickly and tell you what is worth repairing and what is not.
We find the cause before we quote the part
Most equipment call-outs have a cause upstream of the part that failed. A pump losing prime is usually a suction-side air leak. A heater that fires then cuts out is often a flow problem.
We diagnose the system first. That is the difference between a repair that holds and a part swap that fails again next month.
What we service
Pumps and motors, cartridge and DE filters, heaters, salt chlorine generators, automation and control panels, valves and plumbing, and timers.
We are a Hayward dealer, so the parts that fail most often are on hand rather than on order. For other brands we source quickly and give you a realistic timeline up front.
Freeze damage is a real Houston problem
Houston does not freeze often, and that is exactly why equipment here is caught out when it does. Pumps, filters and exposed plumbing are the first casualties.
If your equipment stopped working after a hard freeze, tell us. It changes what we check first.

Pool Equipment Questions
Is it worth repairing an old pool pump or should I replace it?
It depends on the failure and the age. If the motor is sound and a seal or impeller has gone, a repair makes sense. If the unit is near the end of its life we will show you what a modern variable-speed pump would cost to run instead, and let you decide.
Do you work on brands other than Hayward?
Yes. We are a Hayward dealer so those parts are on hand, but we service and replace all the common pool equipment brands. For other brands we tell you the realistic parts timeline up front.
My pool light trips the breaker. Is that an equipment problem?
That is a lighting fault rather than a pump or filter problem, and it needs looking at properly. A breaker that keeps tripping is doing its job and should not simply be reset.
How quickly can you get out for equipment that has stopped?
Call us and we will tell you honestly. Circulation failures in summer get priority, because water quality drops fast in Houston heat.
